The check-in and check-out process is all done online, so it was fast and super easy. It was obvious that everything on the property had recently been renovated, so everything is perfectly clean and new, yet the classic motel structure of the building was retained. We reserved just a basic room and it had a refrigerator, microwave, and a Keurig coffee station with all supplies to make two cups of coffee with cream and sugar. Apparently the beds are custom built, the mattresses are something like memory foam, so it was a very comfortable night of sleep. It is a very short drive to the center of Parsons, or maybe a 10 or 15 minute walk. Good location, good price, thanks for the great stay!

I have had the pleasure of staying at the River City Inn in Parsons on numerous occasions and have consistently been impressed with the exceptional cleanliness of the rooms. The bed is remarkably comfortable, and the amenities, including a Keurig, refrigerator, microwave, TV, and shower, provide everything needed to unwind after a long day of hiking or adventure. The establishment offers effortless check-in and check-out processes, and you couldn't ask for better hospitality from the owners and staff.

We came from Virginia for the weekend to attend my adopted mother’s birthday at Five Rivers Campground. With health I knew we would not be able to do the “tent” and immediately googled. Several reviews stated “hidden gem” and they are 100% RIGHT! The River City Inn is AMAZING! The room is beautifully done with every thought accounted for! Including WIFI! The bed is super comfy and we have had the best rest and relaxation. If you are near or coming to Parsons THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE TO STAY! First stay of many for us… it is now our HOME away from HOME! (Yea, We don’t want to leave!)

They found me a last-minute room when I was having a bad reaction to the spring pollen and needed to be inside instead of camping as planned. We had a suite with 2 rooms (queen in one, sofabed and sitting area in the other) and 2 bathrooms, and a kitchenette area with a full-size fridge and large microwave. Everything was thoughtfully designed, modern, attractive, and clean. We appreciated all the hooks for hanging up our paddling gear. There were places to hang towels in the bathroom, not always the case. Nice area for eating in the room. Comfortable bed. Good wifi. Easy on-line registration and check-in.

Our room was comfortable and clean. There are small shelves on both sides of the bed with USB ports as well as three-prong outlets. Each side of the bed has a reading lamp. This place is right on the highway but the traffic was always light so highway noise was not a problem. The staff was always friendly.

We were on a waterfall trip and stopped here on our way to Blackwater Falls. The rooms were very nice, clean and updated.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to River City Inn! When our daughter found herself stranded in the recent snowstorm, she made her way to Parsons and stayed at the River City Inn. Elizabeth went above and beyond to ensure she felt welcomed and safe. The room was not only very nice but also impeccably clean. If you're planning a trip to Blackwater Falls or Canaan Valley for skiing, we highly recommend this charming motel. Thank you once again for your incredible hospitality!

I have stayed here 3 times now. Every single time the rooms are clean and prepared. It is super easy to reserve, and the code to the doors are convenient. I travel the world for work and this business keeps up with 5 star hotels in my opinion. I will continue reserving a room here when I come visit Parsons.

Such a cute and clean place to stay after a long day of hiking. It was such a comfortable stay. The 24 hour market was great for last minute travel snacks. If you are sensitive to noise you could bring earplugs as some guests may leave fairly early. It was a very peaceful stay and we’ll definitely be back.
